I have an 835 and my wife shoots a Rem. 870 super mag. They kick about the same. The 870 is a little nicer shotgun with a little better fit. As far as pure turkey killing I like the 835 the best. It is one bad shotgun! With the factory choke and Federal #5 Grand Slams I killed two birds a few years ago at 61 yds. ! (I don't make a habit of shooting that far and don't know exactly why I did that time [&:] ) If he is inside 50 yards he is a dead bird. With the 835 I've dusted about 20 heads and lost 1 bird (my fault). The 870 with the factory choke shot horrible patterns ( maybe there was something wrong with mine) so I bought an after market and it shoots pretty good now.
