It depends on the deer really in some cases the customers had to only apply once,some every 3 to 4 weeks and its also good for those damn rabbits. and with the Tree guard the only time you have to reapply is when you get a heavy rain. I had a customer one time that had over 3 dozen tulip bulbs and the deer was eating them and he used the treeguard and after the first time they bit into them they pretty much left them alone. The stuff goes on milky white then dries clear( treeguard). Hope this helps out a little for ya and if that don't work, buckshot will work 100% guaranteed
