Find some Wipe-Out.
You put the bolt in your rifle.
Spray a tiny amount of wipe-out down the barrel, it foams up like shaving cream to fill the barrel.
Set it on a horizontal surface for an hour and just let it sit.
After an hour run 1 patch down the barrel through your bore guide.
If it comes out dirty repeat the process until the patch you run through comes out clean.
Depending on how dirty your rifle is it usually takes from 2 to 5 repetitions.
No brushing, no harsh solvents, no scrubbing, it really is that easy.
