how do ya tell if it is mating season for squirrels? earlier in the season i saw the squirrels at feeders and food sources chasing off any other squirrels that came. but this morning, 2 squirrels were calmly eating next to eachother on the floor after one shook the feeder for more seed. OR could this mean that they are mates or could it just possibly mean there is just an abundance of food to where fighting is not necessary?
