Default RE: Hunting Retriever Training Day

What Could Lardy Do. (WCLD)

Whistle
Camo (clothing) (warm stuff this time of year)
Lead ((leash)
Dog

Ecollars are allowed for training days and picnic tests (just not for the "real thing"). In Started, you are allowed to restrain your dog on the line with a slip lead.
Maybe a little lunch, coffee or something warm to drink this time of year - no alcohol until training is finished, water for the dog (in case the ponds are frozen). Some folks like to bring a folding chair or two. Maybe a few dummies to use as a "warm up" for the dog (baseball) prior to training. Everything else is provided (shells, blanks, birds, launchers, etc.) You may be called upon to throw birds or something as "your part" of the training day. We all pitch in to help out wherever we can.

There will be training categories for Beginner, Started (you), Intermediate and Senior level dogs.

Training Days usually finish up in early afternoon, Picnic Tests usually last till mid or late afternoon, and Field Tests often don't get over till late afternoon or early evening (depends on how many dogs are running).
