Default RE: Powerbelt problems

Well, I finally had great success. Took it out this weekend and did 2 things different. I tapped by powder measure only once after loading it and I dropped to 90 grains of triple 7 shooting a 348 gr aerotip powerbelt. First 3 shoots were literally touching at 25 yards. Moved back to 50 and got a 1" group and 1-1/2" group at 75 yards. This is with a peep rear and fiberoptic front sight. I thought that was outstanding! I figure I have found my load. I then shot some 295's with 90 grain and got 1-1/2" group at 75 yards with that. Plenty good for me too, since I don't shoot past 100 with open sights.

I really think my initial poor groups was caused by tapping the measure too much. I would tap it 12-15 times and the triple 7 would settle a lot, probably giving me inconsistent amounts. With tapping it only once before I cut it off, it sure seemed to work well.
