I use an Archer's Choice sight that has the 3/16" pins. The pins, which are available through Cabelas(2001 archery catalog, bottom of page 39), have a fiber optic wrap.

These pins seem plenty bright to me and are tough. The fiber optics are wrapped around a steel pin; there is nothing hanging out to get caught in branches. The green is much brighter, IMO. And they are cheap enough so that you can buy an extra or two in case of a disaster.
