I'm kind of mistified .Can't see what your explaining.I have a metal matrix.It sounds as if the sight housing needs losened and moved.
There are ,two allen bolts that fix the housing to the elavation bracket.
If i see my pins not inline then i move the sight housing.
I would like to see you try again ,there great sights ,but if your not comfortable then i to would search for one you do.
