In reality you will find when compared equally the two bows will perform almost exactly the same. The Mathews is actually considerably more efficient, but the Hoyt has more string time which is why they share identical IBO speed ratings.

When setup the same the performance will be equal.

Just for giggles I ran the numbers in "The Archery Program". I used a Beman ICS400 for the Mathews and predicted 243 f/s. That arrow weighed 407 grains.
Then I ran the CyberTec with a Goldtip 3555 which weighed 360 grains, and came up with 266 f/s.

Just to be curious what arrows did you use? If for no other reason I would like to know to check it with the program.

The CyberTec is an excellent bow, I'm getting one too to match my UltraTec, and for hunting.
