Default RE: Shot Cybertec next to my MQ1

dhacker,

In reference to the speed difference....as you stated, the MQ1 had rubber cat whiskers on the string as well as a rubber tubing type peep sight and it was also set for a 3 lb lighter draw weight. Each of those string accessories could reduce arrow speed by as much as 7-8 fps depending on string position and overall weight. The 3 lb lighter draw weight would account for roughly a 5 fps slower arrow speed. Add all that up and you would get roughly 21 fps in difference....

...just something to think about. If you want to really do a comparison then ditch the rubber tubing peep and the cat whiskers and bump the draw weight up to 60 lbs. There might be a slight difference but I would be willing to be that it isn't more than 4-5 fps...tops.

I am not trying to convince you "out of" a Cybertec but other than the quieter more vibration free design of the TEC riser I don't think there is that much practical difference between the two bows when it comes to kinetic energy, arrow speed or overall trajectory patterns.
