I have a Savage model 340C in 30/30 caliber. I used to have a side-mount scope on it and the scope went bad (came loose on the inside). It wasn't an expensive scope and lasted about 12 years, so I'm not mad at Simmons. I sent it to Simmons and they sent me a different refurbished scope that won't work on my gun. The other scope didn't have the band all the way around the scope where the adjustments are. It allowed the scope to fit up against the mount which is what I need. I have looked all over around here and can't find a scope like it. Does anyone know where I could get a scope like I desrcibed above or is it possible to have a Top Mount scope on this gun?
