I think the best part of turkey hunting for me is the challenge of getting close to a tom. I'm talking a matter of feet instead of yards. I have several videos that show me or a hunting partner within feet of turkeys, and I have never shot a turkey out farther than 15 to 20 yards. But what I enjoy the most is calling and taping for someone. I would say that 90% of the time, I won't even carry a gun. It is a bigger thrill for me to call for someone else than it is to actually take a bird myself.
