A couple years ago a guy small game hunting in Potter Co. Pa. was attacked by a whitetail buck. He grabbed it by the rack and had to hang on for hours with the deer pushing and shoving him around. He was reported missing when he did not return home. The searchers found him still holding on to the deer hours later. They killed the deer. He had severe lacerations to the groin(ouch). He healed and survived. This happened during the rut.
