They are both superb rifles. If you can keep them both.....do so. Shoot them both and see if you develop a preference. If so......puzzle solved. If you must choose one over the other.....the Winchester 88 has taken on a near cult status....and continues to esculate in value. A decided consideration!

I've owned both Savage 99's and Winchester 88's. They are both keepers!
