vatidefan, is there a reason that you can't keep both of them? Both are rifles I would LOVE to have in my safe.
If you can keep only one, for me it would be the Savage. Very strong, reliable action with no malfunctions. The Win. 88 has a lot of small parts in the lever action that could cause problems.
But the 88 has a detachable mag and the savage has a rotary mag.....
Go with the Savage.
