RE: broad head web site opinions needed
I responded on the Eders site and thought maybe I should put it here too, just to jog some brains a little. (Copy/Paste)
I'm a little confused. Last year you ripped the Talon as falling apart. This year you gave it a 24. Then I look at the NAP Razorback and you have it with a 22. I start comparing notes and see that one blade is rated on 7 points and one on 6 points. You arbitrarily gave the Talon 4points for cutting diameter but the Razorback none. Do you think it should be an ALL or nothing in that catagory... or should it really be rated at all. I'm just looking for consistancy in a rating that is not an arbitrary figure plucked from the air at the time of the test and forgotten on another test. It would also be helpful if you had a side by side chart of all broadheads. Maybe you do, I didn't look under every tab. Maybe list all the grading points for each broadhead in the same order. By that I mean if you have accuracy first.. list it first for all, sharpness second... second for all etc etc etc. Would be easier to compare. What happened to all the old results,.. are you going to get them back up?
ALSO, you gave a 2 blade mechanical(Rocky Gator) a score of 5 for cutting diameter because it has a 2 inch diameter. On the other hand a 4 blade with a 1 1/8 you gave them NO points for diameter. Really? which cuts more meat? Seems an awfully judgemental thing to give one 5 and another Zero when they're so close. Then you take the Wasp with a 1 inch cut and give it 2 for cutting diameter. If I were a Razorback user I'd feel picked on.
I just don't think we're comparing apples to apples etc. I see too many variables thrown in that are personnal preference at the time of the tests. It appears as though scores were altered to fit your personnal dislikes and likes.
