I have been primarily a water fowl hunter but I am now looking to do some boar/whitetail hunting.

I just recieved a Savage 99e and a Winchester 88. Both are in good condition and 308's.

Can anyone tell me their reputations and if they have a preference between the two?

Do you think they will be good "multi-pupose" guns for what I want to do?
