Speed is relative I guess. The first 35 or so animals I took with a recurve. I started an archery shop once and since I sold compounds I thought I'd try them so I could be honest with the customers. Pete Sheply for PSE sent me his original cam bow, a Mach I. I hunted 4 states that year, shot 4 arrows and killed 4 buck. Since then I've taken 20 or so animals with my longbow and haven't seen a drop of difference in making meat!
