Default RE: Opinions on Burris Scopes

Never had one until last year. put a 6-24 signature with target turrets on my 300RUM just for long range shooting. It was one problem after another. Windage and elevation adjustments doesn have much dynamic range ~around an honest 8MOA to be honest. Yea, you can adjust further but its not accurate MOA's after that. I have twice that much on my Leupolds and Ziess. Call Burris, (horrible reps), and he said 8 to 10MOA is fine. I said for me to use this I have to center the scope perfectly with the signature rings with the insert kit. Well, its harder than it sounds. Then finally I was doing some long range shooting. and notice you have to give the scopes some raps or hits to get the reticle to settle in while adjusting target turrets. (not good for a target scope). Finally eye relief is dangerous with a 300RUM or magnums with no muzzlebreak. Never did konk myself, but came too close for me. Made me flinch. Took off and put my Leupold back on and put stoney point target knobs. Not ideal but works.

One way I could see the reticles wouldn't adjust right was putting a bore sighter on it. It will not come back to zero when doing a box test with it. Never own another burris.
