RE: broken stock, help!
Go to a gun show. There are usually several booths at a gun show that carries replacement stocks. I found a replacement for a Remoington 742 that hadn't been made for 20 years or so at one.
Do a search on the internet and see how much a custom stock would cost you. You could always buy the hooney colored one, sand it down, restain it, and refinish it if you like. It isn't that difficult to do. Ask around your local gun shop for a few names and you might even find someone that will help you out refinishing it. That's a good way to get in touch ith some people with the know how.
