Nice story!

I was out hunting for scaup and some other people were untangling decoys. Several birds flew over them. Probably 20 ducks. They didn't have their guns though. Well it was slow and they said they were going to get some oysters and 5 minutes after they left, 200+ scaup landed in the decoys.

My first duck ever was a scaup. It flew 15 yards cutting across and I blasted it with my 20 gauge. Dropped right there. I had some tough ducks also. I shot it 3 times with my 20 gauge and my dad shot it 2 with a 12. We shot it down and it started to swim away. We chased it down and 3-12 gauge shots later ( 3 inches of #3 shot) we had it. Then we came back and had 2 land in decoys. Shot 3-20 gauge shots (2 3/4 inches of #4) and 3-12 gauge shots they were down. One was kicking a little though.
