There are just 250 white fronted geese in the region. Ballard County KY was the bulk 1700, while there are 450 at pyramid state park and another 100 at horseshoe lake. There are also 82 swans in the region, 74 at Burning Star mine and four each at Carlyle lake and union county. The priliminary final Canada Goose harvest figure for the southern Illinois Quota zone is 12,200, well below the 16,000 quota. There were 37,355 hunter days afield. The success rate for hunters was 32 percent. The major Harvest was in Williamson and Jackson counties, 8,673. THere were 1776 geese killed in Union county and 1751 in Alexander County.
