Default RE: bowhunters

This will be my 5th year chasing turkeys with a bow. It's
not for everyone, but for me...I love it[:-].

how much different is it than gun hunting?
...a lot! My chances are much higher when hunting from
one of my DB blinds, however, much of the time it is
difficult to draw the birds close enough for a shot. I
definitely enjoy hunting outside my blind much
more, but man is it tough getting drawn. I wear face paint
and a ghillie suit. Last year on one particular day I had
four gobblers come in, all alone and at different times of
the day. Each one worked inside 25 yards and I wasn't
able to get drawn on any of them...such is hunting
turkeys with a bow.

I have shot over them, under them, taken feathers, had my
arrow deflected by trees, and actually had two gobblers fly
off with my arrow in them. I have been fortunate to take
some nice gobblers with my bow and definitely worked
to get them.

One thing you can write on the inside of your bow...PATIENCE,
because it WILL be tested[>:].
