Now that hunting season has ended, the number of Canada geese in the Southern Illinois-western Kentucky region has reached a season-high of 140,370. The Canada goose season ended Jan. 31.
Horseshoe Lake currently has the largest concentration of Canadas, 42,000, followed by Crab Orchard 41,000, Union County 22,000, Ballard County, Ky. 11,000, Burning Star Mine 10,000, Pyramid State Park 5,000.

those are the higher numbers of canadas, Snow goose is as follows:

Pop. 180,250, last year at this time there was 190,900
Ballard County KY has 76000 followed by horseshoe lake with 50000, Swan lake 20000, pyramid st park 9500, carlyle lake 2100, and rend lake 150.
