RE: Ruger, Winchester, or Remington bolt action?
All three brands have their pros and cons. Personally I would go out and handle a rifle from all three manufacturers and specifically the models that interest you. Get a feel for the rifle, which one shoulders the best? Which one handles the best for you? Which one fits you the best? Once you have made that decision, then buy your rifle. You can always have a trigger worked on by a compatent gunsmith to suit you.
Doe Dumper, check out the warranty on the Weatherby again. I thought their warranties were transferable. Even if they are not, it sounds like the gun shoudl go back to be looked at.
