If you don't reload...and you shoot QUALITY ammo, the 223 isn't much cheaper than the 22-250.

I personally like the 223 better, but not by much. The 22-250 has a little more punch and is a little flatter. Like was already said, the 223 stays a little cooler it you are doing a lot of shooting.

I like the Black Hills 55gr V-Max bullets in my 223. They're $17.99 for 50. I haven't reloaded any 223's yet, because I'm getting sub MOA groups out of my $179 Handi-Rifle.
