Not all that long actually, maybe 20-25 minutes. Something I've always wanted to do is get a story published in a magazine some time, not for the pay .. but because I've read so many great stories over the years .. I've always wondered if I could do it. Plus I've always worked with people who write for a living. So this is kind of like practice.

The story is true, and I can't explain why that goose was so tough. Also, all you lab guys .. you can mock the Springer all you want, but she's retrieved dozens of geese .. some kicking and screaming .. but I don't care what size dog you sent out into the river that day .. it was going to catch hell with that goose!
