RE: where to hunt rios?
We acctually have a few rios in Idaho along the snake river. Not enough to tell anyone to go hunt them but they are there. Most of our birds are hard gobbling merriams, We also have a few easterns in the northern part of the state. The rios and the easterns were introduced to Idaho and never really flourished. The merriams took off like wild fire. There are still pockets of the rios and the easterns left. I dont know of any other sate where you can get 3 of the four in a grand slam without leaving the state borders. Any help on getting my osceola for a grand slam would be appreciated. Maybe a trade for a merriams. I have killed easterns out here but miss the big fat butter balls I used to kill back east. I am starting to feel the itch already and I cant scratch it.
