Hopefully they will finish before the season starts. It can definitely hurt your hunting if they are timbering during the season. However, this year will be the worst it will ever be. From here on out, it will just get better and better for the deer. The tops are great short term cover and browse, and the areas that the canopy opens up will brush out fairly quick. The deer tend to have the same basic patterns, but may alter them somewhat based on the "new" landscape. BT had some good advice too
