I do it year round cherokee. There is nothing quite as satisfying to me than to go into the whitetails playground, show up undetected, observe them, smell them and then stealth my way home. Sometimes it's hard for me to keep a straight face and not crack up with laughter. Them critters are super characters to observe. Some of my fondest happenings is just watching them at play. It's like watching a bunch of kids at the school playgrounds, just having a hoot amongst themselves. Glad to hear that you have experienced this phenomenon. A little warning, it's damn addictive.
