If you wanted to see some fun kick, you should have tried my semi-custom 7600, it originally was a 30-06 and I had it rebarreled to .35 whelen and had the barrel cut down to 16'' inches. This kicked more then I ever could imagine. Right now it is gettin a KDF muzzlebrake installed, but I am going to imagine it is going to have one hellish muzzleblast. I think it will definitly be a great gun for some close action Whitetail hunting in the thick stuff. I have on top of it a fixed 4x Nikon Monarch, I can't wait to get it back and test it out with some stout 250 grain loads.
