Without even realizing it,you are contibuting to the horror stories of mechanicals.Someone sees a picture like this and yes it is impressive ,but the inexperienced persons says WOW,I want to be able to do that.So his buddy that uses the heads tells him what he is using.The novice hunter goes to the local shop and purchases some of these heads.He goes out and shoots a deer with it.He doesn't even get half way through the deer and now he has lost the animal and all of a sudden it is the mechanicals fault.The problem was this hunter has a 27" draw and shoots 50#s.No where enough punch to push a head like this through an animal but even though the person is at fault,he blaims the equipment.He says you don't get good penetration with mechanicals,when in fact you can and do if the equipment is matched.


I am not trying to pick on you but this is exactly the type of thing that gives mechanicals a bad rep.The vortex with it's huge cutting diameter is an awesome head BUT it isn't designed for low energy bows.
