I finally saw a pod (empty, of course) a couple weeks ago in a dealer's curio cabinet. They're illegal in most states. Even if your state allows them, the drug the pod uses is illegal.

The guy that founded the company, Adrian Benke, got positively furious when the states started making them illegal. He churned out reams and reams of misinformation about wound/loss ratios in bowhunting, trying to claim that arrows are ineffective on game without his Pod so he could get 'em legalized (and make some money). Of course, the anti's are using his propaganda against bowhunting now.

Benke died not too long ago, but he did plenty of damage to bowhunting before he left.
