I have used my 10x goretex gear for over 10 years and been caught in some very heavy downpours for long periods.I have never had any problem with water seeping through as some would have you believe happens with goretex.My goretex raingear is also much quieter and much more durable than helly hanson or similar gear and you can actually move around without getting all sweated up as with non breatheable raingear.I also find it easier to stay in the saddle when on horse back trips in the rain.
