Default RE: RUGER OR TAURAS ??

Rugers ARE built more solidly. Authors of several reviews I've read over the years feel that they are actually overbuilt. They just don't wear out.

In case you didn't read my other post under "OK you Taurus Lovers", I'll repeat myself here...

In listening to conversations at gun stores and on the range, I've heard that the .44mags and .454's from Taurus are developing a reputation for having their cylinder latches come loose. Taurus has a lifetime warranty, so the fix is inexpensive, but temporary. If you choose a Taurus, just make sure the action is locked up tight before you shoot.

I'm not against Taurus, this is just what I've heard from the guys who handle the shipping on the guns that have some back to the shop. Good luck AFRO.

Keep 'em all in the Bull.
