I practice this shot at home for emergency hunting tactics. If you are right handed shooter, be down on your right knee, if you are a lefty, go down on your left.
I agree here with avid_bowhunter.
One more thing I might add to that is to give the bow a more severe degree of tilt to avoid limb contact with the knee that is up.
It is just like you are standing in a comfortable shooting stance. My most comfortable, shooting right handed standing, is to have my left foot forward and body almost turned.
Stand in your stance to shoot, and then natually go down to one knee. Make your adjustments toward stability and comfort.
