halcon, sorry if I didn't make it clear but the gun itself is 4" shorter in the A-Bolt the over-all-lenght of the WSM is 42&3/4" the standard 300 Mag is 46&3/4", the barrel is 3" shorter and the action is 1"shorter (per Browning's catalog). I wish the bolt itself was 4" shorter that would be downright amazing (can't imagine how fat the shells would be though hehehe)!
