Depends on the type of trees in your area. Climbers are the ultimate for mobility. Take it in with you, climb up, hunt, climb down, take it out with you. The downside of them is you need a straight tree with no limbs. Ladders stands are nice. They would be my second choice. But again you need at least a side of a tree with no limbs so you can attach it to the tree. But in my opinion are very safe. Hang on stands can go just on just about any tree that is straight. You can go above the limbs. But then you have to buy steps which in my area cost an arm and a leg unless you get them after the season on sale. And those steps are a pain in the butt to screw in. Of course you get buy climbing sticks which are nice but more money added on to the cost of the hang on. I own all three types. And get good use out of them. But I would say it's just a matter of opinion in which one you like best.
