This is NUTS!! The ORIGINAL FACTORY .270 Win. 130-grain load pushed 3140 FPS in 1926! Are you saying that with today's MUCH BETTER modern powders, we can't safely get the same speed from the .280 with a 140-grain bullet?? Gimme a break!!
There is often a significant difference between factory published velocities and reality.Then again if you have some of these 1926 loads to chronograph you could prove whether the published data was fact or fantasy.
