Barrel Browning Tips
I'm refinishing that T/C Hawkins I mentioned in an earlier post. I browned a new barrel once during my early teen years and it turned out very nice. Now I'm looking at this mess I've created and hoping that my memory serves me right in my hunch that it takes 2 or 3 applications to get a nice, even chocolate brown finish.
What tips can you give me between now and tomorrow night when I plan to finish the iron pieces of this rifle?
I'm using Birchwood Casey Plum Brown, the same stuff I used almost 20 years ago.
Thanks,
Fritz
