Your buddy can't go wrong with that Wolverine. I shoot a Knight USAK with the 22" barrel and it will cut sub-MOA groups all day long at 100yds with the right load.

Barrel length is "over-rated" with black powder pieces.............. something the cannon-makers of the 18th & 19th centuries discovered. Smokeless responds much better to barrel length.
