I have used them several times, mostly in ND, but also in CO. I have used them on the barbed wire fence like spirit horse mentioned and they seem to attract some birds, but the best result that we got was using them near a waterhole. We put them on the branches of bushes and bare tree branches out in front of us. It seemed to suck the birds right into the waterhole. We used the silouettes and pinned them on the branches.
