Default RE: Wildest Hunting Story

I remembered another story that happened when i was bout 6. My dad, whole lot of his friends, and I went dove hunting somewhere up in northern calif. (dont rememer name of it). There was bout 8 of us in a group just talking and bsing waiting for the legal shooting time. When it was just light enough to see birds flying. This one dove with a deathwish flew over our group; all 8 of us (i had a BB gun but i tried anyway lol) shot at the single dove. That dove never know what it it and there wasnt much of it left when we find it lol.

Another story that i think happened the same day or the following day. We drove around a bit and found this one spot that was bout 150 yards or so from a ranch. One of our guys shot a dove and it landed on the property (there was just a wooden fence). The owner was doing work on something so my dad called him over and asked him if he could jump the fence to get the dove. I guess the guy was anti-hunting because he wouldnt let my dad go at first but i noticed my dad said something because the guy got a wierd look on his face and then he let my dad go and get it. Later on I asked my dad what did he say to that guy? The owner threatned to shoot my dad and he said the owner would shoot anyone who traspassed. My dad told him that he was an officer and so were the rest of the hunters in our group lol. My dad gave him a few birds later on and I went with him. I found out the owner had a horse injured by gunshot by someone several years ago so he was kinda anal about hunters.
