Shooting a dog in self defence is not against the law.The dog had already attacked the individual and was still posing a threat to him.If anyone is liable it is the owners of the dog.Too bad it wasn't janc up the tree as I would have enjoyed watching her climb down and make a citizens arrest on that dog.
