Default RE: What is a good gun to use for Cyotes?

I've actually shot 2 coyotes with my .300 win. mag, and believe it or not, the exit holes weren't that bad. WHY! Because the 180 partition bullet is built too heavy to really expand in a little 'ol coyote. I took my .300 out with me to get some shooting with it before elk season a few years ago, trying to get more accustumed to it. BUT, lord the price of shells would keep me from wanting to use it on coyotes! It is plenty of gun for coyotes, no doubt about that Camo on the guns isn't necassary for calling coyotes, glare from the gun isn't good, but camo isn't necassary. I'd use your dad's 22-250 for now, but if you decide to buy the .300, you'll have a rifle that is big enough to hunt what ever you wish to hunt in N. America!
