All of the one's I've seen aren't much to look at, but they are solid guns that tend to be very accurate, you would be well served to pick one up if the price is right (check gunsamerica for a price guide).

DG, I think you're thinking about the Remington 600, and it has the "dogleg" bolt too. The 788's I've seen have iron sights but no rib on the barrel.
