I get a little spooked sometimes but am a little weird on how I deal with it. When I get the hebejebes I absolutely hate to use me flashlight. I figure the darkness is a level playing field even for a human with your senses heightened. So you can either be the hunter or hunted but if the opponent is another human giving away your position with a very limited field of view offered by a flashlight just don't get it for me. This has served me well several times in the past when encountering poachers. Hunker down and wait for the other dude to slip up and bingo you got the advantage. Then scare the living s%$t out of em.
