RE: turkey vest ideas
I have experience with the Cabela's ATHS, Little Bighorn Lounger, and the Super Elite 1 and 2. The Super Elite 1 did not hold up for two seasons with pretty hard hunting. The Lounger is good and you can set up anywhere but uphill with the thing. The backrest is awesome for getting caught along fencerows or openings. You just grab the strap between your legs and sit down. The frame is do rigid you can not face down a steep hill real well. From 8:30 to 10 flip it upside down and the seat becomes a head rest for a nap. The Cabela's ATHS is very compact and well though out with a pocket for everything and very accessible. I have worn this vest little because it is in Breakup and I usually hunt in green zones preferring Shadowleaf or Advantage Timber. Super Elite 2 just arrived in Mossy Oak Obsession and appears to have the best features yet of any vest I have seen. The butt pad is thick with a non-slip waterproof bottom. Seperate striker slots with buttons. 2 waterproof pockets just the right size for cameras or slate calls. A cinch tite box call pouch, two fold out orange flags, each shoulder has a non-slip neoprene strip for hold on to your favorite boom stick. Backrest is at least a 1/2 inch thick. Vests are my specialty and I would recommend the NWTF Super Elite 2 in Obsession. Any other vest or footweat questions ask away. I sound spoiled don't I?
