Default RE: New string on an LX bow

Cotton,

I don't know if Winners Choice strings are any faster than the Zebra strings....I dought it, but they are definitely better! I have an LX that now has a Winners Choice string on it. It was the best investment I've made to my bow. The zebra strings, as well as, some other brands of strings will continually twist and stretch for the life of the string. The winners choice strings will stretch slightly for the first week or so (depending how much you shoot it) but will eventually stop stretching entirely. Take a white-out pin and mark your cam below and above your limb. Watch the marks to see if the string is stretching.

My zebra string continually stretched for the first four months that it was on my bow. Drove me bizerk! I was constantly readjusting my peep.

Depending on how often you shoot your bow, you shouldn't need a new string for quite some time. Check your string periodically and replace when wear becomes excessive or strands break or are cut.
