I have to agree that you accustom yourself to the dark, when I was coming up we rarely got back from fishing until well after dark, to get back to the house you had to walk up a dirt road through the swamp, unless the moon was up it was usually pitch black. Sometimes we would walk by ourselves which could be a little scary when you would jump a deer or a rabbit and it would go tearing down through the brush. By the time I was 7 or 8 it never bothered me walking in the dark. Heck my little brother and I would take frinds for walks at night through the road through the swamp telling lies about bear being in there, our friends played it cool until a deer or rabbit would tear down through a thicket right next to the road![8D]
